Skilled
and subacute care services have evolved over the past ten years,
causing a strong need for these services for an elderly population
that is living longer and growing in numbers. The opportunity
to provide these services at a reasonable reimbursement rate
is increased because of the implementation of PPS in 2002. PPS
includes changes in payment for the management of orthopedic
services. With or without established rehabilitation services,
the development of an in-house continuum of care by acute-care
providers can be financially rewarding.
FHA offers the following array of
services for skilled and subacute care facilities designed to
improve your bottom line, increase patient satisfaction, improve
health outcomes and decrease costs:
- Regulatory review
- Development of new units and programs
- Evaluation of financial and operations
in existing units and programs
- Physician and staff educational
programs
- Medical chart auditing
- Physician performance evaluations
- Productivity standards review
- Survey preparation
- Tracking-systems development
- Specialty-program development
- Marketing the opportunity for
providing these services increases
- Loyalty brand services specific
to the facility or service
